MEGT is a not-for-profit business which has been supported employers, apprentices, trainees, job seekers and students since 1982.
Founded as a Group Training Organisation (GTO), by 1998 MEGT (Melbourne Eastern Group Training) had won its’ first contract to deliver Apprentice Connect Provider (ACP) services on behalf of the Federal Government. The following year, it commenced operations in New South Wales and today employs more than 650 staff in every state and the ACT operating from approximately 60 offices. MEGT staff are dedicated to meeting the needs of the communities in which they live, and the businesses which operate there.
MEGT services have expanded significantly since its’ foundation. Today, it continues to operate as a GTO employing its’ own apprentices and trainees and placing them with host employers. MEGT also delivers Workforce Australia programs on behalf of the Federal Government, while continuing to help businesses, apprentices and trainees get the most from the Australian Apprenticeships program.
Our focus is on delivering the highest standards of service in every aspect of our business. Our commitment to quality and ongoing improvement is reflected in our attainment of world-standard qualifications in areas such as data protection, quality management and cyber security.
