National Skills Week 2025 is set to take place from 25 – 31 August 2025 , under the exciting theme “Explore ALL the Options”
This year’s event will once again celebrate the significant role that vocationaleducation and training (VET) plays in helping Australians unlock a world of career opportunities.
National Skills Week, supported by the Australian Government, brings together students, educators, industry leaders, and career experts fromacross the country, highlighting the incredible diversity of career paths available through VET.
Whether considering a trade, reskilling for a new career, or exploring the latest technologies, National Skills Week 2025 provides the perfect opportunity to discover options.
National Skills Week Chairman, Brian Wexham said: “National Skills Week is a celebration of the exciting and diverse pathways that vocational education and training can offer.
“It empowers individuals to explore ALL the options available to them,pursue the careers they are passionate about and supports Australia’sworkforce development,” he said.
“Importantly, the Week is designed to highlight ALL the options available through the VET Sector – for high school students still at school, post school as well as mature age students looking to retrain or upskill. We also focus on industries facing critical skills shortages andAustralia’s jobs needs of the future.”

- Industry-led workshops and seminars
- Industry expos and activities in conjunction with training organisations,schools and associations
- Multiple launch events, media opportunities and photo opportunities
- VET Alumni success stories
- Interactive virtual events.
National Skills Week 2025 will also compile a Schools Kit of ideas available for download on their website
